X850 Pro on ATI sale Moddable?

Hi, I just heard that the x850pro with a vivo plug is moddable to x850xt/pe performance levels. Is that true and what are the chances of success of the card being sold on the ATI website? Cause I ordered the x800xl yesterday, but if I can get a x850xt for only 20 bucks more, I'll cancel my order and wait for the 850pro. Thanks

They supposedly are. But if it doesnt unlock, you've got twelve pipes of pixelshader poop :roll:

Yes, ze' x850pro ATI is selling is moddable because it's the AGP version with the VIVO capability.

overclock.net has good info on how to do it, just be patient and search around.
