  1. personally, i'd go with a different psu. i build computers for a research lab, and i've has about 5 antec psu's fail within the last two years. granted, those were all smaller than 450 watts, but there are better power supply manufacturers out there. go with fsp or enermax.
  2. well here's my second option for psu when i was customizing this rig http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103512 it's by enermax.
  3. Here is a much better suggestion, scratch that whole list and see whats out close to when you plan on getting it. You are 6 months away from this machine. In that time there will be newer vid cards, cpu's, and mobo's. If I were you I would stay away from newegg, youll just get pumped about hardware that will be outdated by the time u actually have the cash to purchase a rig.

You took the words right out of my mouth! :)
  5. well where should i go. also don't worry this is just like a prototype. i made this list so i'd know what i was getting and would be able to change anytime i want.
  6. yes by then there will dx10 cards out. Hybrid hardrives with flash memory are meant to be out around vista time too, these will (or at least should) dramatically decrease boot time and also allow programmes like office to load almost instantly.

You may also want to wait for Vista if you are already waiting untill December. By then we should know for sure the exact release date and weather or not Vista is stable enough etc to get at release or not.

As fun as it is to spec out a PC when you are bored its too early to really make any choice at the moment.

I think I'm waiting till January myself but I'll decide nearer the time.
  7. i don't care about vista or dx10.
