whats the differnce between an opty 165 and 180?

what is the differnce between the opty 165 and 180 other than clock speed? if there isnt any, would a 180 just be an overclocked 165?

kind of no and yes, a 180 has a higher clock speed because of multiplyers not fsb, if you overclocked the 165 you would have to increase front side bus and quite possibly vcore to get the same speed, but yes they are the same exact thing aside from that. i hope i explained that well :?

Edit:also how much more performance will 600mhz's give me? is it worth it?

No, the difference is insignificant, it might shave off a few years out of a two decade lifespan if you overvolt it...

Needless to say, that CPU would be past the point of obsolescence by the time it fails.
