I have one DC in a child domain, and I want to remove it. When using
DCPROMO, should I consider this server the last DC of the domain? I consider
it the last of the child, but not of the parent. Which option should I
choose?

Thank you in advance for your expert advice!

It's the last domain controller within the domain yes. You should select
that option.
