I don't think anyone seriously believed AMD would be able to keep the FX-62 at its current price, there's just no way it could have done that and survived. This is just a win-win cenario for us consumers. Lower prices on Intel and AMD cpu prices = good. |

It had to be done, Why buy a inferior FX chip (not really but when compared to a Core 2 Dua it is) when at third of the price point you can get a faster, cooler, more efficient chip.

When it comes right down to it, core2 prices aren't all that different from the northwood prices.

Ok I m looking at this from another point. I always notice who ever has the crown they tend to have the higher prices. I'm not saying now. For the crown changing from Amd to Intel. But what I'm Getting at is Intel Will rase prices to for faster chips Untel 1 both companys have about the same speed cpu. 2 If amd wins the crown back. So right now would be a good time to buy chips. |
