After taking many posts into consideration and after asking several questions I have revised my list of components that I will be putting into my first build.

Also my budget is about $2000. I will be waiting for the AMD price drop before I make the purchase of the CPU and/or the MOBO.

That system looks pretty cool.

I´d buy two HDD. Like 2x250 Gb...but this is just me. I like to have copies of the most important files, just in case.

Well I have an external hard drive which I put copies of all my important things on already. So it would be kind of pointless to buy a second hard drive just for that.

250gb drives are the current best price/size point, if that makes a difference.

Also, you'll need Windows XP Pro to take advantage of that dual-core processor.

Dare I say the 'C' word?

I'm personally a nvidia fan, but the X1800 XT (256 or 512vram) has better picture quality than the 7900 GT.

Especially in Oblivion...

Yeah, I'd go with an X1800XT instead of a 7900GT. It's a little faster and the picture quality is better. You'd need to make sure you have proper cooling though, I hear they get a little warm.
