so thats a RETAIL E6600 for $258.99??? 8O

Typo.... if you do a search for E6600 it comes up as $360.99, they probably will not honor the 258.99 if it goes to the cart that way.

Plus I love this quote from the description "Intels branding strategy makes it simple for consumers and businesses to choose a powerful and energy efficient processor and makes it easier for developers to write once, run everywhere."

I'm glad a branding strategy does so much... but I really think the model numbers being all over the map doesn't make anything easier... nor does it make ie easier for developers to write once, run everywhere... grrr I ahte stupid product descriptions.

It shows an E6400 /shrug

Based on the price list on the Conroe sticky ($224) I would say the price is around what you would expect to pay to get your hands on it so soon.
