Intel PD 805
PQI 1g DDR2-667(single stick)
Gigabyte GeForce 6600GT 256M
Western Digital 280g 7200 SATA HD
This is the old stuff;
Cyberdyne 8x DVD-ROM
WD 140g IDE HD(just to transfer my old stuff then its gone)

When I turn it on, it runs for 5 sec. then shuts off for 5sec. then repetes this over and over and over.... nothing comes on the moniter?

I used to have a problem similar to this where my computer would just stop at the Bios loading screen.

Turned out to be the powersupply.

if your comp is continuously restarting like that i wouls suspect the cpu fan not working, powersource problem, or even possibly a problem with the motherboard/bios.

could be quite a few things actually.

try replacing the parts if you have anything like a different power supply just to test to see if it helped.

only way to fix this problem really is thorugh trial and error, sorry.

anybody else have any sudgestions?

it could be your power supply
for 30$ you could get a thermaltake at new egg
it is a good cheap psu
it is 430 watts

Sounds like the PSU will not fire up, do you get a LED light from your motherboard indicating its on? If not, its the motherboard that went. It most likely wouldnt be the processor. My best guess is the PSU, check on that. Buy a cheap thermaltake one like sir heck stated for 30 bucks, then test it.
