I have XP internet connection sharing setup between an XP system and a Win98SE system, and I need to remove/disable it on both. I haven't tried anything at all with the XP system, but I have had no success whatsoever removing it from the Win98 client system. (The network gateway icon appears anyway in the right corner of the start menu, and won't close at shutdown unless I hit "end task" via control-alt-delete or when given the option upon shutting down.) Even removing tcp/ip completely has no effect. Help! I'm going to be adding a router and cable connection to these systems soon, and am concerned that this connection sharing could interfere.

Thanks for your time.
