I am receiving Event ID 13568 in event viewer on one of my domain controllers
and have reviewed the suggestions in event viewer and in MS knowledgebase
article 292438:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;292438&sd=tech

The problem is that when I go to either set the Journal size in the registry
or enable journal wrap automatic restore using the registry, neither registry
key HKLM\System\Ccs\Services\Ntfrs\Parameters "Enable Journal Wrap Automatic
Restore" or "Ntfs Journal size in MB" (REG_DWORD) exist.

Do I need to create it myself? Is their non-existance a sign of a larger
porblem?

Thanks for your help.

You need to create the value.
It does not exist by default.

I would recommend a non-authoritative restore via KB290762 to recover from
the journal wrap.

Thanks, I'll do the non-authoritative restore but should I also add the "Ntfs
Journal size in MB" (REG_DWORD) in order to prevent this from happening again?
