Nice to know that K8L is on schedule.

Quote:
DESPITE news reported by our Taiwanese colleagues, our well informed sources confirms that AMD's quad core Athlon 64 X2 successor is on schedule. As we reported before, this CPU is slated for early 2007 and if all goes well we should be able to get it in early Q1 2007.
There are no significant problems and obstacles with the design and the CPU won't be delayed till 2008. This is AMD's horse to run as the firm knows that it needs a lot more than K8 dual core to fight the upcoming Conroe. The new Intel desktop CPU is due to arrive in just thee days from now and is getting ready to win most of the benchmarks versus Athlon X2 5000+ and the FX62.

You are late.

BTW, good to know you haven't killed yourself.

On schedule?

It doesn't really have that much meaning when the schedule is 'before 2008'

Speaking of 9 inch, I havent seen any "AMD rules the planet, Conroe is a conspiracy" headlines lately. What gives?

Much as I hate to do this, as it is so shariboobious, I will link to my own post.

Hahahaha.... i LOVE how the quote does NOT mention K8L once in the article. It mentions Athlon X64 quad core, which is NOT K8L. But keep dreaming.

Many people here, including me, were worrying about you not making any posts lately...as someone already mentioned already, thanks heavens you're doing OK! Simply put, we just missed you :D .

There are no news of an official release date, yet, - officially - coming from AMD or RELIABLE sources. Still, you keep on using the INQ to make yourself a source of laugher here! C'mon men, just grow

Classic. When I was wondering if 9nm is banned, what a comeback with outdated BS from the_INQ.

LOL!

meanwhile conroe is here (give it a few days), AM2 was supposed to be the fast sucessor and where did it end up? heh, and K8L is like A yonah to a dothan, and all the new tech on the K8L has already been implemented by Intel with yonah for a while now.

Oh, and wheres a working sample of K8L? they have already benchmarked a quad core conroe @ 2.66ghz and it scales great, go figure.

The same sources that told him that AMD had RHT on AM2?

Genius, another classic from the Inq.

A little insight into the "UK Tabloid Journalism" style that they aim for (for anyone in the US who can't recieve those PoS red-top UK tabloids):

Someone I know from a band in the mid-90s was once interviewed by probably the leading tabloid paper. Basically, they asked him who the celebrity he fancied most was, and the most unusual place he had had sex. Then they went ahead and printed that he had had sex with said celebrity in said unusual place, which of course was totally untrue - a story they had made up from two pieces of unrelated information.

Now that is the great journalism the Inq aims to emulate.

So clearly others disagree with this 'news'. Given the Inquirer's track record, I think a little pinch of the Sodium Chloride may be called for.

sources confirm. Or source confirms. Make your mind up. As othes have said though, this mostly means they try and make somethign up that they haven't already made up before.

So the X2 is retired, and the successor is...................

2 of them!

As we reported before

Now now - we've discussed this already. You don't do any reporting. Just make stuff up.

Oh, this CPU is going to get slated alright....

There are no significant problems and obstacles with the design

Ooh - raising an issue which didn't exist before and then denying it? Somethign seriously wrong here. I suspect both problems and obstacles.

Quote:
and the CPU won't be delayed till 2008.

As above. God knows when it will be done.

Resorting to equine tomfoolery to try to get the performance crown back?

Well - tell us what it is then?

I assume by 'most' you mean 99%.
