I ordered my 6800 Conroe,
But now I’m stuck with the motherboard selection, I can’t decidve on these 2 choices:

D975XBX "Bad Axe" rev304

Asus P5W DH Deluxe and the Intel

With the Asus Motherboard I know I can OC the processor to at least in the 3.2Ghz – 3.6Ghz range with a Tower120 without any problems (I hope). And that is as much as I want to OC the processor.

I’m not sure about the BadAxe 304 Board tough, can I OC the 6800 to 3.2 or 3.6 with just a simple bios change for the multiplier? Or Are all intel Motherboards non OC-Friendly? I haven’t had an intel motherboard in ages, I have no clue.

I would personally pick the Intel for it is bit more stable and overclocks fairly well. But if you're into extreme overclocking then get the Asus.

I only want to OC the 6800 from 2.93Ghz to at least 3.2Ghz, and if i can manage with a Tower120 to the 3.4 or 3.6Ghz range.

Another reason for me wanting the BadAxe motherboard is that I heard the nVidia 7950 vidcard works on it, I don’t ‘want SLI on that motherboard, but having 1 physical card which acts in SLI mode like the 7950 would be amazing to have. I seriously doubt the damn ASUS P5W DH DELUX board will support that nVidia 7950 video card.
Unless someone else knows something more from Asus regarding the 7950 video card?
