Average temp of Seagate 7200.8 hard drive using speedfan

hey all I was wondering if anyone could tell me what their average temp is of their seagate hard drive, I have model 7200.8 and it on average runs anywhere from 110-120 degrees F temp was taken using speed fan. I am trying to figure out if that is abnormal or not, there i s no cooler on the drive obviously and it is mounted up in a 5 1/2 inch bay where there is no air circulating.

Also can anyone tell me what happends when a drive reaches its thermal limit? I mean will that destroy the drive, or just cause weird behavior until it cools down?
