diff between single core and double core

hi guys,

i would like to enquiry whether is there a huge diff in performance between intel 630(single core) and intel 930(double core)??

pls advice...thks =)

Yes, in most multi-threaded apps it kills it!

Several sources, including Tom's Hardware, have found that dual-core processors have twice the amount of cores as single-core processors.

What do you plan to do with your computer? Dual-core really shines in multi-threaded applications or in multi-tasking.

Remember a poster "StupidDonkey" or something telling us he took off heatsink and proceded to remove heat spreader to confirm his chip had dual cores! :lol:  :lol:
