If not overclocked, how powerful of a power supply do you need to get the best performance for a gaming rig?

It depends on the platform and add-on components.... :roll:
But a good quality 400 watt or more should power most stock mainstream PC's and still have some to spare...

Need more info.

A desktop CPU can consume anywhere from around 40w to 130w or more.

A GPU can consume anywhere from around 25w to over 120w of power.

he said latest tech, so i'd prolly put top of the line CPU + top GPU.

and hey.


Antec Truepower 550w. it'll run any single video card gaming machine, as of yet. dunno how much DX10 cards will use.
