I am running Microsoft Reader, on my iPaq H3850, version 2.3, build 4182. I
am having some strange behavior and I'm wondering if it's common. When I
open a book for the first time, the screen looks fine. However, after I
highlight some text, either to set a bookmark or to change the highlight
color, the area STAYS highlighted. When I page down, either through tapping
the arrows on the screen or using the button on the front, the first word on
the next page is highlighted. I can still use Reader as usual, but it's a
little annoying to have a word on each page highlighted always.
Has anyone else had this? Is there a way to get rid of this, either by
updating the product (doesn't seem to be a newer version) or reverting to
the old version (which I don't know how to do)?

I had the same problem yesterday while reading PPC Magazine. Very annoying
and I couldn't get rid of it without stopping and restarting the program.
