Hi guys,

Just looking for some opinions on this setup and advice on any last minute changes that can be reccomended?

Pentium 805
Asus P5WD2-E Premium
Corsair DDR2-667 Valueselect 2x1GB
ASUS Extreme N7900GT 256MB
Enermax 485W
AC Freezer 7 Pro

I plan to overclock the CPU obviously so not sure if the Freezer is going to be enough to keep it cool? Any suggestions here specifically? I don't want to go water cooled.

Cheers!

Suggested changes:

I'll say this again.... WAIT FOR CONROE.....

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (go for an E6600 if your budget allows for it)

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3

RAM: OCZ Gold 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2-800

Video: eVGA Geforce 7900GT KO Superclocked <--- Core and RAM clocks are much higher on this card, for about the same amount of money.

Power Supply: Antec TruePower 480W

Drop the aftermarket cooler (unless you're planning on overclocking the Core 2 chip past 3.0)

Just as a footnote, the E6300 at stock should perform either at the same level or better than a highly overclocked 805, will put out MUCH less heat, and need MUCH less power.

Just increase your budget slightly and forget about the cooler, And get E6400. It will be faster, no need for OC.

no point.... I said get the E6300 for the specific reason of overclocking.... the only difference between the 6300 and the 6400 is the clock speed. The E6600 has double the cache though (4MB vs. 2MB)
