Hey Guys I Recently ordered and built my copmuter!
Im Just wondering

Also do i need some coolers? for any of the hardware becoz i dont want my copm to be overheating etc etc?? and anyn estimation on how hot you think my computer could get??? :P :P :P

Hard Drive: Western Digital 120Gig7200rpm(keeping from old) ATA
(Backup Installation Files and Docs
Hard Drive: Western Digital Raptor 10000rpm 16MB Cache 74Gig Enterprise Drive SATA
(Games and OS)
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS (keeping from old)
PSU: Thermaltake 680W True Power (keeping from old)
Case: Antec PC160 (keeping from old)

These hardware i have chosen is my decision so if any things u dislike or disagree you can reply ... :P

I would go with a core 2 duo instead of that "netwurst" chip. Will be available soon, and kick its butt in performance and power consumption.


Unless of course you're trying to take advantage of intel's dirt cheap netburst, then everything looks good.

[edit] Now that i google i see thats a 975 mobo, should be fine for conroe, as long as you get the latest rev.

You said that you haven't gone over 50 gigs?

A raptor will be fine for you.


If you're paying 300 bucks for that cpu, definately wait a couple more days and get a core 2 duo.
You will be very happy you did.
