I currently have an Asus P4C800-Deluxe 875P which i have had for a couple years now. This board will be replaced soon when C2D becomes readily available. However, until then, heres my problem...
Not sure when it happened whether it was gradual but in my signature is my processor and PSU. My voltages on my board are all low by about .5 volts. One particular rail, the 3.3v always triggers the Asus Probe warning when it drops below its threshold.
I have been tempted to lower the threshold just to get rid ot the annoying popup of Asus Probe but the low voltages kinda scare me. I have verified the numbers in Asus Probe in the BIOS and they coincide with eachother. For the longest time i ran without a UPS, but living in Alaska has encouraged me to buy one. For about 8 months its been plugged into a UPS with no change in voltages.
Is this a sign of a failing <insert component here>?
I thought Antec PSU's were one of the best along with Asus boards?
Or is this common with this particular board or am i just being way to over critical about this?
I have a True Power 430 watt PSU, and it should not drop that much, and if mine read lower a tenth of a volt I would be concerned on the 3.3 volt line.
If it is under warranty I would RMA it.
Also it could be the motherboard miss reading the voltage, to be sure you can use a volt meter and check the output of the individual lines by jumping the PSU with no motherboard attached.
Unfortunately, i think iv just about reached the end of my warranty. I have had it for a couple years, purchased from Best Buy when i was stationed in Washington state.
