Good morning, please could someone tell me why my dvd copy plays fine on my computer with picture and sound yet on my tv it only plays the picture.
I copied the DVd using Nero and i have three discs which are doing it.
Only thing I think straight off is to check the sound options on the main dvd player. Taking a look around videohelp.com might be worthwhile, a mine of information there.
The other thing I'd try is using DVD shrink for backing up, dead easy to use and has been pretty reliable (and free), will use Nero for the burning stage.
Because you didnt have the license to record in Dolby or NEO, or DTS. The dvd you tried to copy contained any one of those audio formats, and was left out in the copy process.
The data on the DVD would read those formats do exsist still and would select them when playing back on your TV. You should be able to change the audio mode to stero though and hear sound.
