Which GPU..? [RESOLVED]

Hey Guyz,

Need a help here. I need to find out what could be the best choice for a STUDENT (keeping this in mind when counting $) who is doing this course at uni.

I was looking into 7600GT or X1600XT. You reckon by looking at the subject of the course above 7600GT or X1600XT will be enough or it needs more power.

As the other have said, the 7600GT will be significantly more powerful than the X1600XT.

As for which one to get, personally, I'd stick with a brand like eVGA; they are the clear leader when it comes to makers of GeForce card. I don't know if they make any passively-cooled cards, but some models would be pretty quiet.

Such a card will certainly provide you with all of the graphics horsepower you'd need for game design/programming.
