Conroe memory

I am building a conroe... I have the bad axe rev 3.04... I am wondering if 1gb of ddr2 6400 will be sufficient for now. I want it to handle just about everything well. (if anyone has benchmarks comparing 1gb to 2 gb that would be awesome) Also i am looking to go cheaper on the memory and more $ on the video card.... the memory i would like to stay around 100-130 max and the vid card up to 300..... let me know what you think

1GB of DDR2-800 would be fine for now.

sorry i failed to mention i want to go with ati because my board does not support sli... if i am going to spend the $ on the video card i would like the option to eventually be crossfire.....

also I was looking at that ram ... kinda interesting that you choose that one too. thanks for the input
