Built my new system today. Installed the Drivers for my GTX 580 off the CD that came with the box. I now want to update my drivers from the EVGA website and I just want to make sure I am doing it right since I'm no longer using XP, but Win 7.

From the CD I was able to install the Drivers, 3D Vision, HD Audio, PhysX System, EVGA Precision. (not sure what the PhysX is)

Thanks for any help!

I believe I have several Options

1) Device Manager > Display adapters > - right-click NVIDIA GTX 580 > Update Driver Software

2) Device Manager > Display adapters > Uninstall

3) Control Panel > Uninstall a program > - Nvidia Graphics Drivers 266.58

4) Double click 270.61-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql.exe and let the Win 7 Gods handle the process

5) Some other really good method, running driver clean pro and then installing the new drivers.

Nvidia have recently updated their installer. Grab the latest driver from and just run the installation. It will give you the option to upgrade the existing driver or perform a clean installation.
