I recently upgraded my domain from NT 4 to 2003 AD and my first domain
controller is Win 2K3SP1 but second one is only Win 2K3 upon transferring PDC
emulator to Win 2K3 DC my BDC in remote offices can not see it as a PDC even
though they can ping it so I have to keep it on my first DC which is Win 2K3
SP1. What is strange here is that BDC in the same office as my 2K3 DC can
see it as PDC emulator, why would be that?? Does it matter when one DC has
SP1 installed and the other one does not?? Thanks in advance.

Not that I know. What are the errors on the NT4 BDCs in the branch
offices?

Cheers,

I found solution, I brought up another DC but this time I installed SP1 so
that it had the same SP level as my firs DC and then I was able to transfer
the role successfully. Thanks for all your help.
