I have a second drive hooked up to my PC and it is presently divided into 3 partitions. Can I use XP to get it all back to 1 partition? I don't care about the data on the drive.

Partition Magic will do this for you in one step.
Otherwise it's a case of making an image of your boot partition with ghost or drive image and backing up the two other partition's data, re-partitioning the drive, restoring the image then copying back the rest of the data.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. The drive I want to partition will only be used for data. It's a different physical drive from the boot drive.

Yes, Windows will do that for you. link.

@bushlinAlso, instead of paying for partition magic, check out the gparted livecd.

In that case either use something like parition magic OR back up all the data, re-partition and copy it back.

Who said anything about buying
Hiren's Boot CD is the shiznit, can't think of anything I want to do in DOS not covered by that disk.

I agree that the Hiren's disc is incredibly helpful. It is also illegal. If that's not an issue for you, I'm not one to tell you to do otherwise.
