  3. It usually means your HD is about to go. I've experienced the error a couple of times before on other PC's and eventually the HD bricked. Back-up what you can now.
  4. Do a full scan to recover any errors then do as tinmann says (back it up), CRC's usually mean failing disk hardware or head crashes, and if your lucky you might have anything from a few days to a month before you lose everything.

  6. Basically your external HDD is failing.

    Get your data off it and onto a new one ASAP.

  10. CRC errors generally mean failing hardware, probably the external hard drive. Buy a new one.
