As I understans two types of memory should be available:

1.. 64 MB of RAM used to run/install apps./data (becomes deleted after
HARD reset)
2.. 128 MB of ROM used to store data/apps. (85 MB of IPAQ file store that
is not deleted after HARD reset)

The information about the first memory type is visible in
"Start>Settings>System Tab>Memory>Main Tab". Also there is a slider to
allocate availability between Storage and programs.

That is all OK.

In the location "Start>Settings>System Tab>Memory>Storage card Tab"
information about the storage card and IPAQ File Store should be visible but
it isn't,

The message that is visible in that tab says: "Total storage card memory:
Not installed". I don't have any storage cards installed that is correct but
shouldn't there be some information about the IPAQ File Store.

Furthermore in "File explorer>My Device" there exists a folder named IPAQ
File Store but when I copy something in it, the main memory is reduced.

All data in that IPAQ File Store becomes erased after HARD reset.

IPAQ Backup does not offer to backup files in IPAQ File Store.

The only memory available to me is approximately 30 MB of main memory.

Where is my IPAQ File Store?

Am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be appreciated before I send it back to the vendor.

Thanks!
