Trying to figure out what it all does.
I get the crash mainly when the game is in cinema or loading sequence. Only once has it crashed in play and that is the only time the screen went black, ussually it just freezes on me. The demo did not do this. I've had some lock up issues with other games as well but not like this. The only part on my PC I'm not sure about is the PSU. It's a 520 watt Fortron. Are there maybe any known issues with this type of PSU dealing with heavy workloads.
I've got all my updates, no help.

This game is problematic. I'll try to uninstall again.

the patch worked for me, people who've had it crashing also ran it in windows 2000 comp mode and that worked for some, i dunno tho.
-I'm sorry, but the UN must be firm with you. Let me in, or else.
-Or else what?
-Or else we will be very angry with you... and we will write you a letter, telling you how angry we are.
no once it crashed it wont crash again in the same game time
ok seriously, is this after a few minutes of playing? if so try the usual stuff like running with your case side off to see if its a overheating problem. try reinstalling drivers, or try different drivers.
run 3dmark to stress the GPU check for artifacts, check the cpu temperature, is any part of the pc overclocked? fear is reported to be "sensitive" to overclocking so try putting things backt he way they where...try updating fear.
