Why my clients get the proxy?

Hello,

I have a WSUS Server and a big problem with the clients wich are in my
AD.

They join the Wsus server using the proxy so they can't get the
updates because they can't send their state.

The policy for the proxy is on an other OU, and it is a user policy
and not a computer policy. So I' don't understand.

The computers wich are not in my AD don't have the problem. They can
join the Wsus server (editing the registry) and they are seen with
their own ip, so they can send their state and get the updates.

A proycfg on the clients tells me that it is a direct connection. Very
strange!

Can anyone tell me why and how my clients get the proxy?

Thanks for your help and sorry for my english.

Hi Lapin,

Pls check this first. There is a computer setting that can apply proxy
settings per machine rather than per user.

Computer Config\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet
Explorer\Make proxy settings per-machine (rather than per-user)

"Applies proxy settings to all users of the same computer. If you enable
this policy, users cannot set user-specific proxy settings. They must use
the zones created for all users of the computer. If you disable this policy
or do not configure it, users of the same computer can establish their own
proxy settings. This policy is intended to ensure that proxy settings apply
uniformly to the same computer and do not vary from user to user."
