Core 2 Duo base???

I just read from Anandtech that only 25% of Intel's Core 2 Duos will be Conroe based!!! So, I take it, to wait till after Christmas? What's the point of buying a Core 2 Duo when it's still running off of an old base???

I think you misread that a little bit. "The remaining 75% will still be NetBurst based, meaning they will be Pentium 4, Pentium D and Pentium Extreme Edition."
