i have had a chaintech kt600 for 2 years maybe and the usb didnt work at first cuase i didnt have service pack. o well, i can live with that well i then updated to sp1 and it instaled but it did not work, the funny thing is that it does not even show up in the device manager im not sure about the lan but anyway i fried my harddrive but i rbaught a new 1 and same prob but now when i try to install my lan it sas you do not have propper nic or something....ive tried everything but wont work doyou think it could be physical or bios maybe? when i plug lan cable in lights come on but no activity but the router shows it plugged in so any sugestions
I would try the chaintech global website and select products>motherboards>socket a. There are 2 kt600 chipset boards listed at the bottom of the screen. Click on the motherboard picture, and it will take you to the main screen with the bios and device drivers. You will have a via service pack and a separate lan driver available.
