hi

so long story short, i'd like to be able to use the mantle of woe
during the day. i have some constant effect souls, but is there any
enchantable item that is powerful enough to have a constant restore
health 15 to 20 points? i haven't found one and suspect there isn't
one, because, let's be realistic... constant restore health 20 points?
where's the fun in that? but i'd be able to use the mantle of woe
during the day which would be awesome!

I doubt you could do it with one item, but you could probably spread it
across several items. In other words, have a few restore health points on
an exqusite amulet, some on an exquisite belt, some on a couple of exquisite
rings, some on an exquisite shirt, etc. Eventually, you should probably be
able to get it up to 20 health points/sec. Although I have never tried
anything like that, and can't say for sure if it will work the way I think
it will. Also, you may not be willing to stop using some favorite enchanted
rings, amulets, etc., you are already wearing.
Or, you could do something similar with Fortify Intelligence
enchantments instead of Restore Health enchantments. Fortify Attribute
enchantments are not cheap, but they are cheaper than Restore Health
enchantments, both in enchantability points and cost in gold. That would be
a way to boost your intelligence (and thus magicka) without the need for the
Mantle of Woe and its unpleasant side effects.

Try a "Resist Magicka 100%" spell. It only has to last for a few seconds.
Cast it and don the robe before the spell wears off. That should take
care of the Sun damage.
