A few questions regarding new system...

hey guys, i'm new here, and it seemed like a good place to ask you guys for some advice. anyways i'm running a fairly old comp (p4 2.8, asus p4p800-dx, 1gb ddr400, ati 9600xt) and since my parents computer is even older, i believe a 900mhz, i figure i'd give em this one and build myself a new one.

so here's the plan so far...
CPU: Pentium D 805 (2.66 GHz)
CPU fan: Zalman CNPS9500
MoBo: Asus P5WDG-E Premium
Ram: OCZ Gold XTC PC2-6400 2GB
VidCard: Asus Extreme X1600Pro 256MB
HDD: 74G WD Raptor
PowerSupply: Antec True Power 2.0 550W
Case: Tisonic Breeze Black

i'm building this on a buget, and have a few questions...
1. would it function with a Asus P5W DH Deluxe, i'd like the ability to go core2 in the future however it looks like it only supports 1066/800mhz and the pentium d 805 runs at 533mhz FSB. will this be a problem?

2. in terms of a vid card i'm limited on funds for now, so i need an iterim card that is ~150 max. I was lookin around the net the other day and noticed that ati.com has a refurbished x850 crossfire edition card for only 159.99, would this be worth getting a x850* to run it in crossfire mode at a later date rather than spending money on an entirely new card?

Thanks, suggestions are welcome, but keep in mind newegg is not an option as i am in Canada. :?

More about questions system
  1. shop around on canadacomputers.com and pccanada.com (preorder of conroe in canada incase anyone is interested)
  2. i kinda wanted to stick with ATI. just preference.

and i'm not gonna preorder conroe, i'm gonna hold off for a bit i think. let the craze slow down a bit, and all the other prices adjust then make my call.
