It appears, at least according to this German site, that the 3.2 ghz Conroe is either here, or just about here...

Hardly a surprise given that Conroes are overclocking well bast 3.2 ghz already..

The benchmark results are pretty predictable...

It would be stupid for them to release that one already, when they already have that price point filled by the x6800.. what are they gonna do lower prices again?

It's nice but not required; Intel already has the fastest CPU on the market and the faster Core 2 Duo will only really compete with the slower versions. They should really hold back the big guns until they're needed.

Let me guess it's faster than 6800?
Yes and it is faster than 8086 by the same amount as you are more stupid than the #2 at THG.
One day the stupidity will be measured in units named by you.
1 BaronFool will be a huge number, equal to 1,000,000 multiplied to 1 of BaronMatrix IQ + 0,1(to skip divide by zero in case if BM IQ is 0).

All they did is overclock the X6800 to simulate the (assumed) X6900 (source):

We simulated the values of the X6900 not announced yet, by increasing the multiplicator of 11 to 12, open with the X6800.

Ok... good point :)

I guess an overclocked XE6800 is faster than a non overclocked XE6800

Not news then :(

Let me guess it's faster than 6800?

Let me second guess.

It's faster than the entire AMD product range.

Seriosuly, if you can't say anything worthwhile or relevant without looking through your AMD tinted specs, shut up or p!ss off. Some people actually want to talk about CPUs here without being constantly infected by your drivel.

I'm sure it can't. But seeing as I can't buy one of those and if I could I'd need an environment chamber to house it as a desktop, I'm not really losing sleep.
