7600GT - Is it strong enough?

I am currently building a computer by myself for the first time, but I've built computers before with my friends. Now, most of them bought the parts themselves, so I never really got into questioning them about what they think they would need for what.

So, my question is, is the 7600GT (link) strong enough to handle running Oblivion in 1280x1024 with medium settings, and WoW with full settings in 1280x1024. I'm pretty sure it'll run WoW pretty well, in fact, extremely easily, from what I hear. But I'm not so sure about Oblivion.

Other specs:

CPU: AM2 Orleans 3800+ (link)
RAM: CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2x512MB) (link)
Mobo: ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI Mobo (link)

Well, I bought my 7600GT off of performance, but I prefer to simply stay within nVidia. I also prefer staying within AMD for my gaming processors, and intel for my video editing computers. It's simply preference.

The X1800 is the stronger card. So, IF you're worried about FPS, go with the X1800

(Does anyone buy hardware based on performance anymore?)

The X1800 is better in Oblivion, but other than that, the two cards perform about the same. Until you overclock/unlock the GTO and then it beats the GT. I'd get the 7600GT, though; it's cheaper than the X1800GTO.

Oh; I didn't realize that you'd already bought the card. In that case, you're fine; the 7600GT is a great card for the money, and it should run Oblivion on the settings that you mentioned.

Adding in shipping and handling ($50), and I barely stretch past what my budget can afford without not eating for a few weeks. ^_^
