I was wondering what 3dmark05 I should be getting with this card?

Right now I'm only getting 6506, any ideas on why this might be?

wow 6506 thats pitiful on 3dm05 with an xtx! i got the same card n im getin 11000. hmmm not the best cpu but should not result in that low of a score. notice any wierd objects r ne thing durin game play? how about ur frames?

Gameplay seems a little slower than I thought it would with the upgrade. I haven't actually benchmarked any games yet, but theres times when it gets pretty slow in Oblivion even with HDR turned off and only 1280x1024 resolution. I haven't really noticed any artifacts, so I'm not sure what it is. Maybe the card overheats and clocks itself down? Does the x1900xtx do that? I'm adding more cooling in the next few days, so maybe that will help.

hmm well the xtx does run hot but does not clock its self down in 3dapps. but wait a minute... ati drivers do feature an overdrive feature which slows down your card when running 2d apps then clocks its self back 2 normal speeds when running a 3d app. this is to save power and generate less heat. maybe your card is still running at 2d speeds while running 3dmark05 for some odd reason resulting in a low score. i would check your cards speed while benchmarking and seeing if it is at what it should b.

Good idea. Is there any other good drivers out there for the x1900xtx, I hate the catalyst control center, and the overdrive feature prevents me from using ATITOOL to overclock?

Try running 3Dmark06 and let us know, that will use all of your cards features better!

My system gets a 5,200 on 3Dmark06 with stock catalyst settings!
