If it is possible, I'd love to see a side-by-side review of the EPoX motherboards: "EPoX EP-AD580XR" and "EPoX EP-AF590SLI2". Both motherboards offer the top of the line chipset offered by nVidia and AMD-ATI. I'm in the middle of building an AMD system and those two boards are at the top of my list, but I'd like to see the real world difference before I make a purchase.

What I would like to know:

1. EPoX AMD-ATI chipset performance
a. Benchmark scores with ATI Graphics Cards
b. Benchmark scores with nVidia Graphics Cards
c. Does that AMD-ATI chipset have "special certified parts and features (like nVidia's "Certified Components", "First Packet", and "Link Boost")
d. If so, do they help performance in real world applications?
e. Overall performance and features

2. EPoX nVidia chipset performance
a. Benchmark scores with ATI Graphics Cards
b. Benchmark scores with nVidia Graphics Cards
c. Do the nVidia "special features" (as listed above) improve perfomance?
d. Overall performance and features

Here's the AMD-ATI chipset model:

This is the nVidia chipset model:

Thanks.

That's a fantastic idea, Hex! We'll get on that after we post a few more pointless news reports about little remote contolled flying helicopters...

I was just messing with you, I've seen the article and forum discussion. It looked like you needed a distraction after you gave the Rolling Eyes of Doom.
