Archived from groups: microsoft.public.win2000.active_directory (More info?)

In other words, is the 'member' attribute the same, assuming replication is
up to date?

I've heard that the 'member' attribute is not necessarily replicated.

More about : global catalog servers site agree

hmm .. maybe You've heard about linked value replication which allows to
replicate only some portion of multi value attribute.

There's nothing more which comes to my mind regarding this topic

From what I can read, link value replication of group membership should
still provide the desired result - that is that group membership is
consistent on global catalog and domain controllers.

I'm still wondering if this assumption is correct.

I know about the bug between exchange and AD.
