Got a new Asus P5W DH motherboard and am hooking things up. I have never dealt with SATA drives so want to ask to make sure I do this right!
The board has SATA1, SATA3, and SATA4 (no SATA2 ?).
I have a new Western Digital SATA HDD and "asume" that I hook it to SATA1............this will be my primary boot drive.
I also have a Maxtor ATA HDD that I have been using and want to change it from my current boot drive to a second "backup" drive (cable select). I also asume that I can hook this up to the "PRI_IDE" slot along with my DVD burner using the same cable?
The board does support both SATA drives and ATA drives.
