Recommendations on a high capacity inexpensive [Ext Backup]

Hi Guys,

I have a client who needs a new tape backup, high capacity [preferably like 150GB], it should be external and they do not want to break the bank on it.

I think they might pay up to like $800/$900 max for the external drive. The server in question is SCSI, but I would probably advocate installing a seperate controller card for the backup so it does not have to SCSI.

Your input and wisdom is greatly appreciated.

I don't believe your going to find something that has 200gb back up capacity for under 1500 bucks, new that is. Depending on what type of shop they have, you may be better going with a SAN\NAS solution using Backup EXEC 10d. You'll make it under 900 then, but there would be some around 900 for 1TB & software.
