I went this after noon to get my R1800 installed on a new G5 iMac I
had just upgraded to Tiger and put in the latest patches. I planed to
use firewire to get better performance for large prints.
It went well until I went into the Mac Printer utility. It did not
show the full name of the printer just: E Firewire.
The add button was greyed out. Installed the drivers from the CD and
downloaded new ones from Epson (same version it turned out) and same
thing. Retried CD driver same but when removed the Firewire and went
to the USB2.0 it was recognized just fine.
Anyone else had a problem with the R1800 and Firewire with Tiger?
