Hey community,

I've got a Late 2007 MacBook, and my goal is to try to make it work like my tower computer, in that I can leave all of my music on my external and play it from there using Itunes.

OSX doesnt seem to want to do that. I don't want it to move all of my music to the hard drive on the computer, as its pretty small. Anyone got any insight?

Thanks

Just change the settings for your iTunes library to point to the external disk. You can even use a network location. It just works.
