How antivirus is recognizing the highlevel language?

hiii i wrote a virus program in notepad. i am not saving this code in .bat format i'm saving it in .txt format still my antivirus bitdefender recognizing that it is a virus. saying that it is behaving like BAT.gen virus. How is it possible? How antivirus is recognizing the highlevel language in txt format? please explain me deeply, so then i can modify my code.

Maybe by coincidence some of your code is exactly the same as that used by a real virus. I'm sure virus scanners do scan batch files against a database since they are commonly used by viruses.

oo. that means antiviruses read files and understands what it is by their database? wow...... i made some viruses which makes some fatal problems in pc, but they are not detected by antivirus.. Do you give me a link of windows emulator for windows 7 or mandriva linux? thanksssss
