I really want a Lian Li V-series case. However, as anyone who has seriously looked at them knows, they have an inverted motherboard design. This isn't a problem until you add a motherboard with a heatpipe for the North/Southbridge into the equation. I have heard awful things about placing heat pipes in any other than the designed configuration.
My question is this: if I get a water cooling system for my case, can I safely replace the heatpipes on, say an ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe with a northbridge water block. The reason I ask is because the heatpipe is also connected to the voltage regulator, where the final heatsink resides, and I don't want to remove the whole heatpipe system and leave my regulator vulnerable.
Any help would be appreciated.
(Please don't tell me to get a board without a heat pipe. I know this is an option.)

oh...I think u'd have to remove the whole system, i dont think u can just bend it. BUT. If you remove the whole thing. u can cool the n.bridge with a zalman heatsink and find some old cheapo heatsink off a videocard and use it to cool the voltage regulator.
