Optical Mouse

Is there a way to get my optical mouse's light to act normal? The light always stays on even when its not moving and it moves sooo slow now.

Have you tried it with another mouse? Have you gone into the mouse settings and changed the speed? My mouse stays lit even when my computer isn't on (not the lazer just the "cool" blue lights at the top).
