Before I buy a new Motherboard. . .

I have an old Socket A SOYO K7ADA motherboard that I believe is the cause of my computer randomly freezing and occasionally not even POSTing. I'm not sure what exactly would prevent a PC from giving some kind of audible POST beyond a bad motherboard or power supply, any ideas?

For the record I tried hooking up a power supply that I know works well and achieved the same spotty results.

Take out everything except for the cpu, video card, and 1 stick of ram. If you cannot POST then it's one of the above or the motherboard.

Would a bad video card or RAM prevent you from getting any audible noise from POSTing? I thought if you had bad RAM or a bad video card you would just get a series of beeps instead of the singular beep.
