well, you could probably swap the X1800 for an X850, the performance is fairly close but around $100 less
and if you are looking to cut costs, you could theoretically use the HD from your current comp

other than that it looks exactly like the system i am going to build

and are you the real legendaryfrog, or did you just steal the name

I wasn't aware that there was a real "LegendaryFrog" O_o

yea hes this huge dude on newgrounds who made links quest for a$$ and other humorous flash videos. but anyway, if i were you id ditch the e6600 and go for an e6400 its $100 less and is still comparable to an fx62 and anandtech did an article on overclocking it to 2.8 GHz. thats what im doing for my build anyway.

Why such an expensive motherboard? You're not running a dual video card setup. That is the only way to knock off a minimum of $100 without losing any performance. Get a nice motherboard for around $150. Gigabyte will soon have about 20 Conroe motherboard options.

there was another article about getting the E6300 to above the stock speed of the X6800 on air cooling, but in my opinion the performance boost is worth the cost, up to the E6600, which you could easily get to 3.6Ghz

i would have suggested a cheaper board, but that one comes with a remote control, i like remote controls

also www.legendaryfrog.com, the first 2 "one ring to rule them all" cartoons are excellent

you gotta love how no one prices in the cost for windows. then again no one pays for windows, except me. xD anyway you can get xms ddr 800 for $200 before the $40 mrb.
