My rig:
Coolermaster Cavalier CAV-T03 (1 80mm intake and 1 120mm exhaust fan)
2x512MB XMS Corsair PC 3200
Antec Truepower 2.0 550W
1-XFX GeForce 7600 GT PCIX 16 SLI
AMD 3800 processor
ASUS A8N32 motherboard with 2 PCIX 16 slots

I originally had a problem with no video when I booted it up. But when I removed 1 of the RAM sticks, I booted up just fine and got my video to work (originally, I had the 2 sticks in A1 and A2, side-by-side.) When I inserted the 2nd stick in B1 instead of A2, I booted up just fine and got my 1 gig total. My MB manual says I am supposed to run the memory side by side in dual channel as long as they are of the same size and type. Am I doing something wrong to cause this? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

check the bios version, get cpuz and see if the memory is working in dual channel mode.

To operate in dual channel mode, the ram must be in slots 1 and 3 (the blue slots).
