I have two quastions.
1st which core performes better in Athlon 64 3000+(Venice,Wincheaster,Clawhammer,Newcastle)?

2nd is there any clue on Athlon 64 3000+ package or serial number shows
the CPU core type ?

The core type is known to the retailer, because the retailer orders by core type and frequency. The purchase receipt for my Venice 3500+ states that it is a 'Venice Core', and it is identified as such by all types of CPU identification programs, such as CPU-Z. Therefore, when you decide to buy one, look explicitly for a mention of the core type. Venice is the core you want.

2. most sites do tend to tell you,if you are buying now its almost bound to be venice

so to be sure,check the opn (thats the ADA3000DAA4BW bit for your venice) these are normally printed on websites,and always appear on top of the chip.
