Good deal if you don't want to buy a new motherboard for conroe. I would still go with an E6300 if I was building a new system, which I am.

Personally I wouldn't touch any of the 8XX chips with a 10foot pole and a heat shield. A buddy of mine had an 820 which he overclocked, and even overclocked the performance was still horrible. Just a hot power hungry cpu.... maybe the newer revisions are better, but I still would not bother wasting a penny on them.
